A.E.R (Gus) Peterka 1922
A.E.R (Gus) Peterka 1922 (d), graduated from the Case School of Applied Science with a degree in Metallurgy. He served in the U.S. Air Force in both World Wars and continued to be involved as an officer in the Air Force Reserves as well as consulting on aircraft technology in Washington D.C. Peterka worked for American Steel & Wire (the predecessor of U.S. Steel Corp.) Western Electric Company and The Lamson & Sessions Company from 1932 until his retirement in 1960. The A.E.R. (Gus) Peterka 1922 Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1974 through contributions from alumni members of the Case chapter of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Peterka, a loyal Phi Delta Theta, served for 45 years as secretary and treasurer to the Phi Delta Theta Corporation at Case.
