The Allan H. 1905 and Robert D. ’38 Heidenreich Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1995 by Anne Heidenreich in memory of her husband, Robert and her father-in-law, Allan.

Allan H. Heidenreich, a native Clevelander and Case baseball third baseman, received his B.S. in electrical engineering in 1905. Upon graduation, he began working for government committees, which were the predecessors to NASA, and gained a national reputation for his work in power distribution, railway electrification, and wind tunnel power drives. Robert D. Heidenreich, a Case football player and active Alpha Chi Sigma member, received his B.S. degree in chemical engineering in 1938. Upon graduation, R.D. Heidenreich joined Bell Laboratories and remained there 34 years in the area of electron optical methods and high-resolution microscopy. After retirement, R.D. Heidenreich was a consultant for the Solar Energy Research Institute as well as a senior research associate at the University of Colorado in the electrical engineering department.
