Bernard D. Schramm 1911 (d) graduated from the Case School of Applied Science with a degree in Metallurgy. Upon graduation, Mr. Schramm led a rich and varied professional career, working in several different mining, steel casting and chemical companies in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Colorado. In 1920, Mr. Schramm began studying the brick and roofing tile manufacturing industry in the Denver, Colorado, area. With his new interest and experience, Mr. Schramm began the company of Bacon & Schramm, Inc. – a roofing and waterproofing firm. The Bernhard D. Schramm 1911 Scholarship Fund was established in 1973 to honor the co-founder of Bacon and Schramm Inc. of Denver, CO.
