Brian C. Nalven '87

The Brian C. Nalven ’87 Zeta Psi Scholarship Fund was established by a group of alumni in memory of Brian Nalven for his involvement and leadership in the Zeta Psi Fraternity during his years at Case, where he served as the president his senior year. Nalven graduated from Case with a degree in Computer Engineering. He worked for Hewlett Packard in Colorado Springs, Colorado as a Software Design Engineer in their Research and Development Lab. It was there that he followed through on a commitment he made during his college years by helping to establish and support the Zeta Psi Chapter at the University of Colorado where he stressed leadership and service to others. Mr. Nalven enjoyed working with young children and teaching them to play the guitar and trumpet. He also spent time as an assistant instructor for adults and children in the art of Taekwondo in which he held a black belt. In 1994, Brian was tragically killed in a car accident in the Colorado Springs area. His spirit lives on through the lives he has touched and his belief in Zeta Psi.
