Bruce N. Richardson 1918

The Katharine F. and Bruce N. Richardson 1918 Memorial Scholarship Fund was established through contributions made by Katharine Richardson and her family. Bruce Richardson, an active member of Kappa Sigma, earned his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering in 1918 from Case School of Applied Science. While an undergraduate, Mr. Richardson was an extremely able basketball player, playing for three years and during his senior year, acting as captain of the varsity players. His forte was playing the position of center on the team and he was chosen in 1918 as an All-Ohio Center. In addition, he was actively involved in the Mechanical Engineering Club, Owl and Key and Student Senate. Bruce enjoyed a successful and lengthy professional career with the Cleveland-based Independent Register Company. After serving them with his expertise for 51 years in a variety of positions, Richardson retired in 1979 as president of the company.
