Charles E. Reed ‘34

Charles E. Reed ‘34 (d) majored in chemical engineering at the Case School of Applied Science. The Charles E. Reed ‘34 Endowment Fund was established in 1983 to support the purchase and maintenance of equipment for polymer science and PhD polymer science candidates under the direction of Eric Baer. The Charles E. Reed ‘34 Matching Faculty Research Fund gives the dean of the Case School of Engineering additional resources to support his faculty leaders. Reed had a career of over 35 years at General Electric, including Sr. VP of Corporate Technology. In 1978, he received the Case Alumni Association Gold Medal Award and in 1991, he received the National Medal of Technology.
