George J. Goudreau, Sr. 1925

George J. Goudreau, Sr. 1925 (d) graduated from the Case School of Applied Science with a degree in Electrical Engineering. From 1926 until the time of his retirement, Mr. Goudreau was the chairman and CEO of the G.J. Goudreau companies. He built more than 3,000 apartment units, 3,500 single and duplex residences, and 1 million square feet of office and retail structures in the Cleveland area. In 1943, he organized the Home Builders Association of Greater Cleveland and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in addition to assisting in the establishment of the Ohio Home Builders Association in 1944. In 1986, Mr. Goudreau received one of the highest honors of his field when he was elected to the National Housing Hall of Fame of the NAHB. The George J. Goudreau ’25 Scholarship Fund was established in 1985 with the intent to provide undergraduate support to students majoring in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
