Kenneth A. Barker ‘70

Kenneth A. Barker ‘70, graduated from the Cast Institute of Technology with a degree in computer science. Ken spent the majority of his career in finance and retired from Mellon Financial Corporation as a Senior VP of Research. He has been a member of the Case Alumni Foundation Investment Committee since 2014. He and his wife Jennie spend much of the winter bringing joy to people as Santa and Mrs.Claus. Ken received the Samuel H. Givelber 1923 Fellowship Award in 2021. The Kenneth A. (’70) and Jennie H. Barker Professorship in Environmental Engineering was established by Ken and Jennie Barker in 2025 with an initial gift of $240,000.00 with the intent to provide a professorship in Environmental Engineering within the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Case Western Reserve University.
