Peggy Eshler Mayer
Peggy Eshler Mayer was a devoted wife, mother and proud staff member at Case Western Reserve University’s Case School of Engineering. Peggy took immense pride in her work and enjoyed her roles in the Macromolecular and Materials Science Depart, the Case School of Engineering’s Dean’s Office, and eventually in the President’s Office in Adelbert Hall. She particularly enjoyed working with and providing support to Dr. Arthur Heuer, Dr. Robert Savinell and Dr. James Wagner. Peggy’s children, Kim and John, both attended the Case School of Engineering. Kimberly Elliott graduated with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in materials science and engineering. She now serves as a vice president at Lincoln Electric. John Mayer earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and a master’s degree in fluid and thermal sciences. He now works for HXS, LLC and has helped design space-flight hardware for the International Space Station, the Orion Crew Vehicle and other NASA projects. This scholarship shall stand and serve as a lasting tribute to Peggy, who touched the lives of the faculty and students she worked with at the University.
