Ray Witt ‘51

Ray Witt ‘51(d), a metallurgy major at the Case Institute of Technology, founded his company CMI International, Inc. in 1957. The company was one of the largest independent suppliers of machines and assembled cast and molded products to the automotive and light truck industry. The Ray H. Witt ‘51 and Gary F. Ruff ‘75 Foundry Development Fund endowment supports the Case Metal Casting Lab. As a married student, Ray received $500 as one of the first recipients of the Foundry Educational Foundation Scholarship and at one time said he would not have been able to attend Case without it.
