Reliance Mechanical Contractors

The Reliance Mechanical Contractors Scholarship Fund was established in 1977 by Mr. Samuel H. Givelber 1923, chairman of the board, Reliance Mechanical Contractors. This fund is one of three scholarship funds that was endowed by Mr. Givelber in honor of his alma mater and designed as a source of support and encouragement for undergraduate men and women pursuing degrees from the Case School of Engineering at Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Givelber received his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Case School of Applied Science in 1923. In 1933, Mr. Givelber founded Reliance Mechanical Contractors Company, which rapidly grew into one of the largest heating, piping, ventilating and air-conditioning firms in the Midwest and still maintains that venerable reputation today.
