Richard F. Smail ‘42

Richard F. Smail ‘42 (d) graduated from the Case School of Applied Science with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served his country in World War II in the Army Air Forces and enjoyed a rewarding career at the Dravo Corp. Upon retiring in 1983, he went into business for himself, operating Doyle Equipment Co. with his family. The Richard F. Smail ‘42 Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 to provide scholarship support for students studying engineering.
