Robert F. Seedlock '35
Major General Robert F. Seedlock (d) was a Case Institute of Technology student from 1931-1935. He earned his B.S. at the U.S. Military Academy, and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from MIT. In addition, he served with distinction in several military capacities, including Commanding General, U.S. Army Engineer Center at Ft. Belvoir, VA. As commander of the Burma Road Engineers, General Seedlock supervised the reconstruction of the 550-mile Burma Road from Kunming, China to Burma, following the Japanese retreat in World War II in 1944. Major General Seedlock retired from military service in 1968 and became the President of Yuba Industries, San Fransisco, CA. Robert Seedlock was the only Case alumnus to become a Major General in the military. He attended Case on a scholarship and in 1985 was awarded the Case Alumni Association’s Gold Medal for his accomplishments and dedication to his field and to education. The Robert F. Seedlock Scholarship was established in 2002 by Walter W. Seedlock, son of Robert F. Seedlock. This scholarship assists men and women in their pursuits of higher education.
