Sam Friedman 1915

The Sam and Esther Friedman 1915 Scholarship Fund was established in 1989 by a contribution from Mr. and Mrs. Friedman. In 1915, Mr. Friedman graduated from Case School of Applied Science with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Mr. Friedman later founded the Nottingham Steel Company in 1919, an independent steel warehousing organization, and became chairman of the board in 1955. Upon the sale of Nottingham Steel Co., Mr. Friedman started ESAR Corporation, an investment and real estate holding company which he successfully ran for 34 years.
