Samuel H. Givelber 1923
Samuel H. Givelber 1923 (d) graduated from the Case School of Applied Science with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Devoting his entire professional career to mechanical engineering, Givelber was employed by Duquesne Light Company. In 1933, Mr. Givelber founded the company that later became Reliance Mechanical Contractors Company. Reliance grew into one of the largest heating, piping, ventilating and air-conditioning firms in the Midwest and still maintains that reputation today. The Givelber Family Scholarship Fund, established in 1975, is one of three scholarship funds endowed by the late Samuel H. Givelber. The Case Alumni Association also has The Samuel H. Givelber Fellowship Award presented to an alum on an annual basis.
