Samuel H. Maron ‘31, MS ‘36
Samuel H. Maron ‘31, MS ‘36 (d) graduated from the Case School of Applied Science with two degrees in Chemical Engineering. Maron became interested in the teaching profession while pursuing his master’s degree and acting as a teaching assistant at Case. He spent a 43 years at Case as teacher, researcher and scholar. Maron was an inaugural member of the Polymer Science Group formed by Eric Baer in 1962 to study and understand polymers. The group became the Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering. The Samuel H. Maron Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1977 as a tribute to the personal and academic achievements of Samuel H. Maron.
