Thomas H. Rogers '49
The Thomas H. Rogers ’49 Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1985 by a contribution made by Mr. Willard Frissell ’50, president, RAF Fluid Power Incorporated, in honor of his late partner, Thomas H. Rogers. Mr. Rogers, an active member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, graduated with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Case Institute of Technology in 1949. The Thomas H. Rogers ’49 Memorial Scholarship Fund was designed to assist undergraduate men and women pursuing mechanical engineering degrees from the Case School of Engineering at Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Rogers served the United States Navy during World War II before entering Case Institute of Technology. He was employed by Parker Hannifin Corporation as a sales engineer upon graduation from Case. He also worked as a sales engineer with the predecessor firm of what is today RAF Fluid Power, a distributor of air and hydraulic equipment to business and industry. Rogers spent the remainder of his professional career with RAF Fluid Power, ultimately becoming co-owner of the business with a former Case classmate, Willard Frissell ’50.
