Wallace R. “Buck” Persons ‘31, MS ‘32

Wallace R. “Buck” Persons ‘31, MS ‘31 (d) graduated with a degree in civil engineering from Case School of Applied Science. The W.R. ‘Buck” Persons ‘31, MS ‘32 Fellowship Fund was established in 1998 to be used for graduate fellowships at the Case School Of Engineering. He also created an additional fund to support faculty needs within the Case School of Engineering. He was the CEO and Chairman of Emerson Electric, St. Louis. In that capacity, he spearheaded the saving and rebuilding of Lambert Field, St. Louis’ venerable airport. Persons received the CAA Meritorious Service Award in 1962 and the Gold Medal Award in 1976.
